TRUST BUT VERIFY.

Vetting is a procedure for getting to know you.
We all vet every day, deciding if your going to open an email, is a form of vetting.
Vetting doesn't mean we don't trust you, it means we want to trust you more.
Every time your security grade is increased there will be vetting.
One vets differently for deciding if you are going to open the door when someone knocks,
or
who you will give a copy of the house keys or your Credit card PIN.
One needs more information.

You don't have to give any information, but then we would limit your access.
But we need enough information to be sure your not an insurgent trying to penetrate Co.C.
Or a reporter etc.

And if your very good; over a several year period you might get vetted 3 or 4 times,
as access and responsibilities are increased.

The vetting process is not anything personal, every one goes thru it.
Vetting means we LIKE YOU, and want to get to know you better.

What can get you Banned?
Lying on your vetting application.
Convictions do not cause an auto Ban, lying does.
Connections to al Qaeda or the Taliban that are not divulged
will get you HUNTED, arrested and prosecuted.
Just don't lie to us, all information held in strictest confidence.
Only I see it, unless Internal Affairs is called in for terrorist connections.
